I dived Sunderland bay on Sunday and bumped into a few guys who where taking part in the comp unfortunately sue to family commitments I could only get there mid morning! Had a great 4 hour dive though, lost complete track of time! Managed to get my first Lobster here which was more luck than anything because I was checking a whole for a fish and I saw it hiding at the back! Also shot a calamari, flathead (got a nice one in the shallows!) and a few other fish. Viz was worse on Monday and I dived Surfers beach (slightly to the left of Sunderland Bay) hoping to find crays but couldn't even find one! Clearly I'm not looking in the right holes! Also missed the biggest calamari I've ever seen!! Tuesday was a surf day with the swell picking up!

That is one hell of a tasty feed mate. Jealous. My mouth is watering. How did you cook the leatherjacket and cray mate?

hey Tom,
I boiled the cray for 10 min in salted water then I cut it in half and cleaned it out and it was a great starter for 4 people.... the leather jackets I stripped the skin and put them on some foil in a baking tray (less cleaning afterwards) and put some butter inside and on top with salt and pepper and baked it at 180 degrees for 15min (depends on the size of fish)... they seem a bit small to fillet...
I tried the travelly and goat fish in a foil parcel and I put a little white wine and butter in and that was great too...

Nice catch mate. Good cray and flattie. Next time put your dive report in the 'Dive Trips' section. For Phillip Island put it in 'The Island and further east' section. For mornington peninsula back beaches, put it in 'Back beaches' and for port phillip baby in 'PPB'. you get the idea. Cheers 8)
