A bit of both.

The 15 + viz was off Pyramid rock.

The rest was predominently in Apollo Bay and the surrounding coast.

Still shattered i didnt take the camera to W.Prom. Nothing in Vic compares to the viz, abundnace and quality of fish down there.

I was fancying going at Pyramid Rock this Sunday, but am not terribly sure on to get to the shoreline: is there a path leading to a small pebble beach on the left, right after the lookout ?

Pyramid rock is a bit of a nightmare to get down too the water.
There is a goat trail to the right hand side of the rock. Not easy, especially with all the gear on.

Pyramid is easy if you're careful, walk along the boardwalk until you see a small track that keeps going. Follow it until you reach the top of the last little bay on the left where you scurry down. This is pretty much impossible in the wet as its clay so don't bother if its gonna rain.

If you get there and the swells up you can go left along the top of the cliffs instead. Go through the ti-tree and follow the fence to the big pine tree. Go down to the big rock platform at the bottom for easy entry/exit. Bit deeper around there than the rock tho.

As far as I understood, you're proposing two entry points (shown as red and blue on the map)
https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=208617983242405897629.0004daaf73bd0bfb29ab0&msa=0&ll=-38.526749,145.223401&spn=0.014638,0.012875 , the one in red to be used only in dry conditions, is that so ?

Thanks for the info.

Yeah mate that's it, I don't think the blue one is as far as it is on the map but you'll get the idea if you go there! If you go to the rock ledge where the blue dot is I'd swim towards the rock rather than away from it.
