Guys, the Bride has booked in a week long stay in Port Douglas on Newell beach in August.

Any tips?

Google hasn't helped, but would be keen on a freediving course if there are any anybody can recommend or knows of.

I was in Cairns and contacted these guys at their shop. Unfortunately, the reef was closed for spearfishing due to spawning when I went on Melbourne Cup weekend. They might point you in the right direction. May have to hire a car to make it happen though to get back to Cairns. http://www.diversworld.com.au/
