Hi guys I spoke to a small tackle shop in Hastings and was informed that speros have been following the 'bait ball' with other fishermen and throwing the float and diving flag up so the other fisherman have to go 100 meters away. Just letting everyone know as they seem a little shitty. I have done this before but I was already chasing 'the birds' before anyone else was there.
I also let him know that fisho's have seen me 100 meters off shore and have come up way too close to me.
I don't know how much I care considering many boats seem to not give a crap that I am diving but just be mindful I guess.

Divers jumping in a berley trail is not on. But jumping on the bait ball is fine. Boats do NOT have to stay away from the flag, but SIMPLY have to slow to 5 knots when within 100 metres of it. However, there are plenty of clowns on both sides.
