Next weekend SFD have their beginners pairs comp scheduled. This is a non aggregate comp and gives the opportunity for novice members to check out what competition spearfishing is like.
At this early stage we are not sure where the competition will be held. The comp is planned for Sunday (weather permitting) with Saturday as a backup. As the weekend gets closer, we can have a better look at potential sites as well as the forecast so watch SFD facebook and the forum for further information. A final call will be made on Thursday evening.
As this is a pairs comp, we recommend you find a partner prior to the comp. Posting on the forum is a good way to find someone, alternatively you can comment on this post. A pairs comp is a great way to learn off experienced divers. SFD encourages experienced divers to team up with novice divers to show them the ropes.
