The Newhaven Boat Comp has been called ON for Sunday (23/2).
The meeting point is at the Newhaven Boat Ramp at 8am.

The competition will start at 9am with sign off finishing at 3.00 back at the ramp.
Late returners will be disqualified. For all competition rules, please refer to the competitions section of the forum.

Sign on for this comp will finish at 8.30am.
Please bring your entry forms filled out with the correct money ( $15 for senior and $5 Junior). (Forms from me will be $5 each).

For boat owners, it is recommended that you arrive early to beat the rush at the boat ramp.

A safety check will be performed to ensure all divers have the required safety equipment.
There are plenty of safe shore dives available for those without a boat ride.

Comp is open to all AUF members however SFD membership is required to score points for the Southern Freedivers club aggregate.

Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday

Southern Freedivers held the annual Newhaven Boat comp on Sunday, 25 divers signed on making out for great competition.
Conditions were nothing more than spectacular with glass out conditions all day and visibility up to 15 meters in most places.
Most divers stuck around Cape Woolami however some adventurous boats headed well beyond pyramid rock.
The excellent surface conditions were met with very fishy dives with many divers bringing in new PB scores. Having great vis always increase success rates. Worth mentioning is Murray’s great bag including a new state record Banded Sweep coming in at 720g.
Big thanks to Mitch and Dean for running a smooth weigh in.
Shout out to Russel for cooking a delicious bbq for 25 famished divers.
Thanks to Odie for doing the sign off.

Final results are as follows:

Murray Peterson (21 fish) 2483.9 pts
