And Monday looks better than Saturday... I am not looking good for either day at the moment, I don't get back until midnight on Saturday and that is only to Tullamarine. Most of my gear flew down on Tuesday and is at a mates place which I would have to pick up before the comp... If we were to postpone this comp to a spare, I will have around five spots available on my boat as well as myself making it six in total. Also, for those that were not at the last meeting, we have decided to cap Saturday comps.

Why the backflip? 2 months ago we voted to put Saturday on the table. And why wasn't the DIVE CONVENOR consulted??

Capped at two comps for that perfect day diving or another comp is to close to wait and see what the weather is doing for the following week. This allows for anyone to drop two comps that wont affect their overall score for the year. There is another two comps allowable for Saturdays if we are running out of oppurtunities to get all of our comps in for the year due to bad weather and would be a last resort giving us a possible four Saturday dives for the year.

Why cap it at all is what I was asking?

Every time I've seen it voted on by far the majority is with both days, so it's got nothing to do with Legendary and it's employees? It's once a bloody month not every weekend!

I'm sure I'm not the only one with kids playing sport on Sundays. Most of us can't do two days in a row on a weekend so if there's a good day Saturday we should pass it up to dive a comp in crap on the Sunday? Sorry but this pisses me off and is the main reason I've stopped diving comps, sick of getting excited about the upcoming comp then getting let down by the weather.

Postponing it like this one puts out just as many people as Saturdays would if not more because now there's another maybe on the calendar when it could have been struck off yesterday!

Definitely has nothing to do with Legendary or its employees, It would suit me to have them on RDO days then I might have a chance of doing one, a lot of trade people also work Saturdays . This option allows for 4 Saturdays which is more than half the comps for the comp calender year considering that the Western district comp and State titles is already over the two days and the first day is always considered as the club comp. Realisticly there might only be 2 definate Sundays for the comp calender year if we have a real shit year of weather .
