I have had a flash of inspiration after reading the Magpie Perch thread. This season (ending at the last SFD comp) will hail the inaugural Vegeta awards. This is spearfishing's equivalent of the Darwin awards. So, for any humourous mishap or idiotic behaviour we will reward you with croatia's finest spices. At this stage there will only be one overall category, but if ewes are all keen, me might even be more specific. eg

Overall Award: Vegeta original
Second Place: Vegeta seafood, etc.

If anybody gets hassled by a marine creature with the ability to bite or sting, they will get the Curry award.

Open to all Vic divers, ie non-SFD members included. Maybe we can celebrate at Mladz's local.

I hear rumours there were people freediving from jet skis. Is it true?

Quite true. Brett's "gang" buzz around at over 110km/h. Wouldn't want to fall off at that speed!
