We already have 13 competitors booked. For Public Liabilty Insurance purposes you have to be a member of the club and AUF. If you are not already and you wish to participate please download the forms from this website, fill out and give to me on the morning of the comp. Membership is $50 and AUF is $20 = $70. I will be very busy that morning, launching boat, sign on etc so please have forms ready and bring a chq or money order for $70 made out to Southern Freedivers Inc.

Main website is www.southernfreedivers.org.au

At the moment the menu bar does not display the membership link containing the 3 forms. I have asked South935 to look at this tonight. Please keep checking. Make sure you have all 3 forms signed.

Cheers

Gig

I’m going to boat dive for the first time with you guys.
Do you have a FAQ for the boat dive: what to bring etc?

I guess I need to bring:
Float
Whistle
Drinking water
Sea sickness tablets

alex if u thnk u are likely to b sea sick the best thng to do is take 1 tablet the night before the comp say when your going to bed then one with breakfst this gives your body time to adjust to the tablets.Taking the tablet when your already on the boat or feeling sick is a waste of time!.IT is also a good idea to eat something before you go.U will need all ur dive gear and double check u have it all too, water,a snack, sun screen. Please to keep your dive gear as compact as possible as there will b limited space!

Really hanging out to see the results here ; 3 days of northerlies , blue water between pyramid rock and penguin parade - I`m starting to drool over the glass(es) of semillon ( to go with the whiting and snapper line-caught this morning outside Yaringa boat harbour ). 15 or 16 species sounds good for today as a benchmark ??

I recon this is the spot.
http://www.ozshots.com/divemap/index.ph ... 3&dive=180

If I'm wrong, please post correct location...

The vis was up to 20 m in good areas (less close to the shore)...

There were as little swell as you can expect in the area. You can hardly ask for better conditions!
