OK Guys,

We are going to have another crack at running the Kingfish Cup. Same comp, different date, different location.

Date: ONE DAY COMP either 5th or 6th of March. Day to be selected depending on weather!

Location: Comp will start and finish from WALKERVILLE SOUTH

Launching Details: Beach launch, no bar, you are likely to get your car wet unless you unhitch your trailer and push the boat in. Good jockey wheels are recommended as well as snatch strap (or good rope) to retrieve trailer. We will be organising a tractor for boat retrival in the afternoon. Big boats (19ft+) may struggle at Walkerville and may launch at Shallow Inlet and drive around.

Diving Locations: Good Kingfish available at Cape Liptrap (6 miles from ramp) as well as Wilsons Prom Islands

I will post new sign on sheets and boat rego forms in upcoming days. If I still have your sign on money from the first attempt we can refund it or carry it over for this comp.

Local divers from the area have been experiencing great viz and even better fishing so please make the effort to come along and make the day a success. Small boats and duckies will be much more viable at the new location.

Hadn't considered it but we can put it out for discussion at the meeting.

It was discussed at the meeting last night that this will be pushed to next year as the weather won't be any good for it this week

Thanks Watto and I trust we didn't scare you too much on the trip out to the Glennies the other week mate.

Cheers,

As Watto posted, this comp has been postponed till next year, when we will have another go at getting it off the ground!

All sign-on money that I still have will be refunded in full next meeting. Apologies for any inconvenience.
