Hey guys,

I was wondering if we could organise a small pairs competition down around Beaumaris/ Mordialloc area. I know there are a few young local spearos who are very interested in a competition. I just don't know how to go about arranging something like this.

The calander is set a the start of each financial year. 1 comp per month, and more if some comps are missed due to weather.
Brett has organised beginners comps in the past which might be the sort of thing you are after, but due to poor attendances I think these might be on the back burner.

As for location of comps, they are selected by the committe based on quality of dive sites.
All divers participating in the comps must be club members.
Best thing to do is join the club and dive the comps already organised.

We have had comps in this area from boats leaving St Kilda with very good fish coming in. There is not one this year because even though our impact is very very small we rotate our comps over the years to allow full recovery of reefs. We willl probaly have one at the top of the bay next season.
