bought that spearfishing down under magazine the other week, was impressed with something written. think it was for some club in qld there competition rules were (cant really remember the exact format, but something like this).
each diver to shoot 3 species and they get points for that species depends how close it was to the state record and on top of that they get to shoot another species to add to their score.
guessing this would promote selective spearfishing etc
anyways i'm not in the club.. but reckon this would be a great way to run a competition, purely because it would keep fish up, instead of shooting 30-80 species in a comp. any thoughts? hope this doesnt offend anyone, but yeah just wondering why this format hasnt been implemented.
