Well done to all those that turned up for a challenging day. Some more challenged than others. Once again Rob has shown the way and a great job Nghia. I really must get in the water more and toughen up or just bring on the flat seas, clean water and an abundance of fish. ( OK I know its Vic) Thanks Muzz for running the BBQ. Hope to see you back in the water soon.

Farking weather alright! I was excited to take Marcus on his first comp but it was just to cold and windy for a family day.

If anyone is bored in the next week, I lost a speargun off my ski on sunday. The rubber strap broke and I didn't have it tethered by other means. F%*k!ng idiot. Anyway it came off in a line from the red marker off Bell reef to the shore side (30m in) of the red channel marker off the pilot pier. As Brett said, "fair chance it will be covered with sand in one day".

I was parking the ski back on the trailer at around 5pm in Queenscliff and a punter dropped a burnout in the carpark as he departed. I was told by a lino washing his boat that he just lost his boat and a fair amount of dive gear to the fisheries. Ooooo, now that hurts!

Great day on the water. When I was getting ready in the morning it was raining, cold and the south west wind was quite detering!! Driving over the Patterson river bridge seeing the windward side of the bay at Carrum, it looked terrible!! 25 minutes later on the Morininton Penninsula freeway the sun was shining and we got our first glimpse of the bay around Martha Point, Dromana and McCrae, it was looking good!

Good turn out of around 25 (Including boat drivers and non diving passengers), good to see some new faces.

Well done to RT and Nghia, and to Joseph for getting a sensational 2480 gram Southern Calamari!!

Fantastic to see a reasonably good turnout for such an average weather forecast. The viz was very poor on the western side and it was a windy, rainy comp overall. Great effort Rob!! No whiting, salmon or flathead were weighed in but still some good species were presented.

Thanks to all the dedicated boat drivers and a very big thanks to Murray for putting on the BBQ.

Well done to all who competed!!
