The sites for this years State titles (weather depending) will be,

1, Kennett River

2, Aireys Inlet

Now these are the preferred sites if the weather is good, Back up spots for average weather will be

Suger Loaf reef(apollo bay). Crayfish bay (cape otways). And a last resort spot ,Port Cambell area(if a big easterly is blowing)

People do camp at Kennet river itself, and other will stay at apollo bay.

Southern Freedivers are proud to be hosting the 2013 Victorian State Titles and the 7th SFD comp for the 2012/13 season. The competition/s are based at Apollo Bay with dive locations to be announced somewhere within the Kennett River to Port Campbell area. Great competition/s and camping event; attracting competitors from all over the Victoria as well as interstate. All SFD, AUF and USFA* members welcome. Once again keep an eye on the 'Competitions' thread on the forum for the time, location or any changes from the dive convenor 'the brown mullet'. We hope to see a fantastic turn out and it would be great to see you there.

*All USFA members welcome without needing to purchase an additional AUF membership, provided your club, zone or state sanction this invitational event and contact Southern Freedivers or Adrian Wayne.

the Victorian Surf Lifesaving Championships are on in Anglesea this weekend. Big event, loads of people. Might want to leave a bit earlier if you are coming through the morning of the comp.

Cheers

Thanks for the heads up puss, I will be travelling via Barwon > Forrest > Skenes Creek.

A1 > Cape Otway road > Birregurra-Forrest road > Forrest-Apollo Bay/Skenes Creek road > Great Ocean Road.

Looking forward to seeing you at the weigh in!

Calling the state titles ON.

Saturday isnt an option with a solid swell predicted, so we will meet SUNDAY in apollo bay itself.
There is a toilet block oppisite some food shops in the main street, someone may know the name of the food shop there?? 8 oclock meet, hopefully we will get a dive in some where sunday. Monday is the better of the days.

Hey gents,

I'm actually staying in Skenes Creek over the long weekend and will be doing quite a bit of spearing/freediving with a bunch of mates, looks like we will be hitting up Kennets & Apollo Bay (swell dependent). Hopefully I'll be able to pop down and see how you guys went over the weekend.

Good-luck to all competing :P

Alex
