Great news - I hear it's a long walk down, is a dive back pack permitted to get my gear down and back up?

Good! but a little delicate, I made arrangements last night for a family day Sunday.
I will start negotiations and do my best to be there. Marcus arranged for a friend to stay over so he's out.

Due to forecasts being wrong as per usual, comp has been moved to fossil beach mornington.

Ah, that's who it was hanging around at the BBQ, you should have said.

If you really want to learn the ropes fast you should join the club and attend some of the comps. You don't have to weight in any fish if you don't want to. The worst that will happen is you'll end up with a few good diving locations and you'll learn a thing or 2 about the various species. There's some good comps coming up. The Christmas party is also coming up in December which is a good social dive to attend.
