As you already know, this year the Southern Freedivers of Victoria is hosting the 2014 Victorian Kingfish Cup. For the first time, the cup is open statewide to All AUF entrants.

Competition Entries have now closed.

An incredible 30 Divers comprising 15 teams scattered across the rugged Victorian Coastline in search of the mighty Kingfish!

Come young and old, Seasoned Veterans pitted against Fresh Bloods this will be a battle hard fought.

Can the Southern Freedivers maintain their iron grip on the prestigious cup? Or will we surrender the trophy and let her succumb to the rise of Shipwreck Coast Skindivers?

WHO WILL REIGN SUPREME?

And Now A Quick Word From Our Sponsors:

Most Meritorious fish (Non Kingfish) - 1 x Speargun donated by Barry Andrewartha @ Pelagic Spearfishing Supplies

Well done to all the competitors who persevered through this event.

Some great crays were weighed in along with Scott's true sweep, Brett's jackass morwong (and Nathan's).

Great to see the clubs working and functioning together like a well oiled machine at this event.

HUGE thanks to Blue Water Hunting International (Rob Torelli) for donating the major prize being a three day guided trip to Tonga.

HUGE thanks to Pelagic Australia (Barry Andrewartha) for donating a fantastic rail gun with a choice of size to the winner.

HUGE thanks to Esclapez Australia (Brett Illingworth) donating three different sized dry bags.

Further HUGE thanks to Rob Torelli Diving Down Under (Rob Torelli) for donating a 4mm vest and 'Harvester' gloves to the prize pool.

The photos say it all. The event was spectacular and those catches, man, those are huge. It's been a long time since I held a lobster I caught on my free dives as big or close size-wize as those on the photos.

Try avoid digging up old posts if your input is not necessary. Also, I removed your advertisement from your signature. Sure have your website in your profile, but don't spam it with every post you are not a club sponsor.
