You forgot to mention my monster cuttlefish weighing in at just under 4KG haha It was a good day though, even with a rough weather it was abit of fun! I especially enjoyed watching Brett's before-the-comp scare tactics! By the way the names Conor MCLAREN! |

Anyone run at the start line? People at RRR didn't like Brett's excuse for missing the radioshow. Said something about Brett and 25 of his mates swimming around with pointy sticks! |

Would that be the resident cuttle that we have been feeding and getting footage of for the last year? Damn! |

Hmm shit hope not... Did your "pet" cuttle have a munted up face...looked like something attacked it? I shot it near where everyone launched at the start...not near your bay. Haha squire shot one too...he could have shot it.... You have made me feel bad now |

Yeah I did shoot a small one for a black risotto last night, tasted marvellous. U know conor no one likes a snitch, the penalty for blame shifting, is adding yourself to the next comps species list.... muhaha Interesting to see the setup of all the divers yesterday, thanks for the learning experience. Will take it on board for the next comp! Hopefully, do a tad better next time... dismal performance yesterday, my fish couldn't even make the weigh-in except a zeb. |

It's all good just means I'll have to work harder for decent footage when there are no fish around now. Had a gimpy arm anyway, was bound to happen sooner or later. R.I.P |

I always see them in Mornington area, but that photo is something that I haven't seen yet, amazing work in getting that sort of footage Rhino! I doubt that thats the same as either one that Conor or I shot. I did a hell of a lot of burleying yesterday and only leatheries showed themselves, had a school of Salmon buzz me twice, first time I struggled to get an LJ off the spear and reload in time, second time the mono tangled with the rubber when I took the shot. A little frustrating when you see about 50 fish only 2 metres away. I'll try restrict myself from cussing in my posts but yesterday I reckon even the whales heard me. |

Squire, five or so people didn't even weigh any fish in, so you should be proud of what you got There certainly wasn't an abundance of fishlife! Hey jeeeeeez sorry, but I had to blame it on someone squire, as theres nothing worse than an angry Rhino! Yeah that cuttlefish, and the one in your videos looks nothing like the ones me and Squire shot! Screw this, lets all just blame it on vic_spearo (AKA jack sparrow, Vic spazzo) haha |

ah well its just a cuttlefish, apparently they make a good feed and a good bit of bait but also a good companion to those who are willing to love them….. my heart goes out to this cuttlefish that has been a good friend of rhino’s and at least we have the footage and photos to remember this gracious sea creature. R.I.P little fella |

Relax guys, just taking the piss. There are plenty of cutties out there. They aren't the same ones in the vids, just look the same once they camo up! I took a couple when I started but couldn't soften up the thick rubber like layer of the hood! Gave up there and then, too much effort. I saw the salmon too, about 10 or so over the 2kg mark but they didn't even slow down. F#@ken pu#!y got sea sick and started chuckin, was shattered, had three species in about 40mins and had good odds at pulling at least a couple more at my local in 4hrs. Anyone know of or use anything for that? Has ruined a few dives! |

Being prone to seasickness, I have tried a few things. Best brand seasickness tablets is Travacalm. There are 3 variants in this brand: Original, H.O and Natural. Make sure you chose Original (in the blue writing) and not HO. Took the HO once before a dive and was a bit concerned in the water. Did it tough and made sure Slapper guided me back to shore. Found out what the problem was when I read about it on the website: Travacalm H.O. contains hyoscine hydrobromide only. It is not as long acting as dimenhydrinate and has no caffeine. Therefore, it is ideal for shorter trips, for those who do not want to take a product with caffeine and when drowsiness is desirable. I swear by Original. Usually take one. If I am going out on a boat a long way offshore or if the swell is large, I may take 1.5 or 2. |
