Hi All,

The Newhaven boat competition is planned for the upcoming Sunday (25/02), with Saturday (24/02) as a backup.
The competition will start from the Newhaven boat ramp (unless indicated otherwise) located at Phillip Island (just past the bridge).

Please comment on this thread if you have a boat / are in need of a boat ride.
There will be the option of shore based dive for the competitors that aren't able to get a boat ride.

The final call will be made on Thursday after the updated forecast has been released and will be posted on the forum and Southern Freedivers Facebook page.

Hi All,

The Newhaven boat comp will not be run this weekend due to the high westerly winds forecast, however Pyramid rock will be protected from the westerly winds, and with the low swell it will be good conditions for a comp.

Therefore the shore based comp is ON for Saturday 24th Feb at Pyramid Rock.

Sign on for this comp will finish at 8.30am at the car park at the end of Pyramid Rock Road. No late entries will be accepted.
The competition will start at 9am with sign off finishing at 3.00pm.

For all competition rules, please refer to the competitions section of the forum.
Please bring your entry forms filled out with the correct money ( $15 and $5 Junior).
Blank forms from me will be $5 each.

Comp is open to all AUF members however SFD membership is required to score points for the Southern Freedivers club aggregate.
Checks will be performed to ensure everyone has the correct safety gear.

Also to note that Kingfish have been seen and taken at Pyramid recently, so its a good chance to land one in the comp!

Look forward to seeing you all there!
