So far we have completed 6/8 (5 shore, 1 boat) and 3 non aggregate -pairs, KFC and Bluefin battle.
On our calendar we aim to complete comp No 7 Newhaven Boat Comp and comp No 9 (April 8th) Brighton Bay boat comp (dependant on weather)
These two comps are both aggregate and make up the trifecta of the Hannon. (Sorrento, Newhaven & Brighton)
Note: Brighton has taken the place of the Port Fairy comp which was cancelled before SCS disbanded due to lack of numbers/interest.
Last year the Brighton comp gained quite a bit of excitement due to being something different from the normal venues on our calendar. Even on short notice in trying conditions, we had relatively good turnout and a variety of not so common ocean species being taken.
If conditions are not suitable for a Bay boat comp we will endeavour to run the Anchored boat comp which we haven't done since 2015.
Note: Woolamai will be aggregate but not make up 3rd Hannon comp.
Lastly with so many spare weekends on the calendar before end of season. If the weather gods continue to give us flat conditions these two remaining comps may be brought forward to take advantage of the conditions. So stay posted.
