not sure how may of you are interested in freediving as a sport on its own, without the fun of a speargun. but heres a story for you to have a squiz at if you want.....

if your interested in pure freediving, then check out William Trubridge clips, pretty talented I reckon another to checkout is stephane mifsud who has WR in a couple categories i think.

Read up on why this guy is did this dive

whilst I think it's a great achievement, the site raising funds is very pro marine park everything...anyway...

Fish rock is pretty spectacular Ive done a fair bit of bubbles diving there..

Dude said today his best breath hold is around the 7 min mark, You could shoot 3 fish and reload under the water in that time ... LOL

you can only ever take 6mins worth of oxygen into your lungs

you just have to beat that voice in ur head saying BREATH NOW!!!

Uh, maybe you should do a little research b4 you make stupid posts chief. the volume of oxygen you require for 6 mins would be greatly different from the volume he would need.

stephane mifsud new STATIC WR 10 minutes 04 seconds.

that's just a static hold. Damn good though, just a tad more then 6mins. :lol:

Oh and his new record is actually 11:35. Would love to see this sob diving.

November 2008 Italian Gianluca Genoni established the new world record for static apnea following oxygen breathing
18mins 3secs

he ventilated with pure oxygen for 12 min prior to the breath hold
