Wen't out off Barwon heads today for a fish and dive that produced 2 lovely pinkys and some prawns.
Fantastic Weather. Bubble Blowers diving 200M down from us shot an 80cm kingfish, it was in a school of all similiar sized fish. keep your eye's open fellas, game on!
Nice season opener for us.

should've shot the bubble blowers. Dont think you can spear on tank.

It's allowed but frowned upon by most. Personally I think it's cheating.

I reckon it's far more stupid than cheating! Sooo much shot for your line to get tangled on once you've shot a decent fish. Not exactly easy to manouver yourself out of the way either!

Yep, Not a fan of people spearing on scuba. We dive on the hookah in deep water and that's how those crays were taken, but not spearing...
Can't save stupid people from themselves i guess...

Spearing on scuba is permitted by law in Victoria. Whether it is 'right' or not depends on the circumstances in my opinion. I know of a few guys that come to Victoria to do it because their physical ability holds them back from spearing whilst freediving.

i dont really see the problem, everyone should be able to get a feed every now and then. Still have bag limits to stick to.Think its pretty narrow minded by a few of you!

yeah same here really... i think its less sporting but not wrong... like i mean think about people that have the maximum amount of hooks on with the maximum amount of rods... and heavy line.. like i mean i rekon thats a hell of alot less sporting coz as soon as you hook the fish it pretty much has no chance.

niether of which i think is wrong, but personally i wouldnt do coz its no fun!
