Blinky, not sure if you only want to target saltwater fish with the plastics but if you're interested I'd be happy to share a lake that has redfin pretty much "On tap"

Most are small but there are some serious reddies over 45cm and some BIG brown trout...
Never managed to land one of the browns but have hooked a couple...

Last night I was getting into the reds a few k of willy on the light gear. I was already 20 fish down when they went still, the sounder was lit up but no bites .... out came the plastics, it fired them right back up again and the actioned continued.

Most fish were 2-3kg but I did have one monster toward the 8kg mark (really) but he found a weakness in my 10lb line (perhaps the 10lb bit). My brother was more upset than I was :roll: I just thought myself lucky to have the chance to fight it 8)

Took home 2 in the 3kg range and bbq baked some dinner, thank you big red.
