most dive shops, it can be good for drysuits -(bag suits). but not recommended in its pure form. a fair few repair jobs were the material doesn't stretch. aquaseal make a few other solvents to use with it. can be used also to repair bcd's but i wouldn't recommend just anyone doing this because if it isn't done properly then it could be quite dangerous.... i think you can also get it at anaconda. we use it at work but never to repair holes in wetties only on certain jobs and haven't used pure aquaseal (quite allot of other ingredients go into the mix). if your going to use it on ya suit you may aswell stick a 20 cent piece over it.

Wetsuit repairs done by Greg = a few

Wetsuit repairs done by Baden = no less than 2000

Just an observation, take the advice or dont.

That maybe but you could also look at it this way.
Number of years and different methods of repairing wetsuits tried by me = embarrassing
Number of years and different methods tried by Baden = a couple
I'm not saying Baden isn't any good at repairs but I have got good examples of repairs done my way that are more than a couple of years old.

does that couple include neo lined, cell, plush, metalite, glideskin, surf suits, drysuits (neo and bag) all sorts of bag aswell, neoprence products for boats, motorbikes, pushbikes, waders products for the handicapped -the list goes on. they all have to be repaired in different ways and depending on the repair to the suit the same material might have to be repaired in various ways also and been doing it for coming up 6 years, and learned from people experimenting with suit repair for decades., you might have another better way of repairing a suit but using aquaseal on a wetty isn't one of em

anyways this is gonna keep goin around and around in circles so i guess agree to disagree, merry christmas.

I guess the thing to do is catch up for a dive and have a wettie repair show and tell.
Best wishes for the season.

Maybe you're both right, and both methods work. Just throwing that out there...

since this is on the topic of wetsuit repair. i reciently got a 2008 ghost wettie from legendary and have been on quite a few dives with it and have noticed that the stitching is coming loose all over the wetsuit not sure if i should take it back or just try and repair it myself? i havnt had it for all that long either :s

I've had the same thing happen to my Picasso gloves. I've lost count how many times I've had to stitch them back up.
