Meet at 8 am hours at Smiths Beach, Philip Island on Sunday March 28th. (Melways Reference Map 632 B 7)
$10 sign on (includes basic BBQ lunch)
Free sign on for juniors.

Dive comp from 9 am – 1 pm.

BBQ in, Weigh in and presentation from 130 pm onwards back at Rotary Park at Newhaven, (Corner Forrest Ave and Anderson St)
Melways Reference Map G6.

Note: This is a pairs spearfishing “social” competition and two divers must stay together and fish from one float. As normal 1 fish per species count for weigh in and hand caught crayfish are on the list.

The basic idea is that the club spearfishing “talent” is spread out and we encourage the “guns” to pair with less experienced divers. Pairs can be worked out on the day.

See you all there on the day.

Any queries, contact Rob Torelli on Ph 0417 55 99 85.

hey me and a few mates are looking at coming to the comp (most likely just 2 but numbers are not precise yet but there are only 4 of us that spear so it will not be any more than that) we are all juniors and the majority of us have dived comps in the past (the valdes being our first last year possibly?)
we are just wondering if anyone is able to take us to and from the comp. we are more than happy to pay for any fuel.
we are both situated in the bentliegh area and can also arrange to meet elsewhere if thats easier.

any help is much appreciated, even if you have the one spot in the car that would still help as its not a worry to go seperately.

cheers, morgan

I wont be to far from you guys this weekend. Have organised a dive at san remo/kitty miller rd in phillip island with a few mates. Hopefully the early morning weather holds up and we get a good 3-4 hours in the water on sat-sun.

Can't wait to test out my new RA Scorpia...should be fun

to go to the novice comp and maybe sign up then because I
won't be able to make it to the April meeting either.

The conditions are looking good, the 7 time Australian champion is picking the spot.
