It wasn't mulloway croaking (havnt even seen one let alone heard one) but fallow deer. Went for Fallow on the weekend. They were croaking well. I spotted a small buck with a doe and decided to let the buck walk. 10 seconds after the they walked into some thick wattle I heard some croaking about 200 metres above the small buck. I snuck onto a nice buck with another doe. The doe spotted me and started to walk off and the buck followed her. Took a quick shot at his neck with the .300wsm and dropped him. His right palm is a bit smaller than his left but still very happy.
