I find a 5mm plenty warm enough for Vic throughout winter. But each to their own.

If you buy a 7mm you'll regret it, too restrictive! Buy a 5mm, plenty warm enough!

if you still get cold in a 5mm wear a vest under it. works a treat, keeps you toasty but does not restrict movement

If you really want a 7mm I've probably got one in the shed that's too small for me, I'll look tomorrow!

I have a 3mm steamer from Seaorbit and must admit for the price (was $80 if you go into the store and speak to the dude there) its a tip top suit for summer. Its got quite alot of flex in it, protective areas on hi wear spots of the suit (knees, elbows) so for rock hoping its great as you are not too worried about it.

The suit fits me to a tee but definately go try them on before you buy because these suits are made in china so they so a medium is more like a x small...etc. (Located: Prestige Drive, Clayton around the corner from my joint)

Suit does not come with hood or anything and i hav dived with it in winter but your core gets cold and stays cold. and you start getting brain freeze after about an hour hehe.

In summary good suit for beginner or very casual spearo and for the price a great suit to have stashed in the car during summer.

Also the guy sells rock hopper booties and wierdly he also sell manikans so if your in the market for those as well your in luck!

Only have the bottoms of the 7mm in the shed, let me know if your keen! They are in perfect nick, the shiny/furry red lining type?
