Gday lads

Today marks the start of the 2010 / 2011 Vic Challenge. This selective competition is growing in popularity each year and we expect this year to be no exception with many members talking about which of the 10 species they will be targeting early on. Just a few points to remember - you must be a paid up SFD club member to enter fish, fish can only be weighed at specified locations and fish application forms must be submitted within 30 days of capture (all other rules can be found on the SFD homepage).

Whilst on the application forms, this year we are going to trial a new system - Application forms can be submitted 2 ways. They can be entered through the forum by attaching them to a PM to 'VictorianChallenge', or like always they can be submitted at club meetings. (VC Application template is attached to this PM)

This season fish can only be weighed at the following locations -

Brett Illingworth 0439 881 958 (Rye)
Murray Peterson 0407 047 405 (Grantville)
Chris Monaghan 0419 313 221 (Bentleigh)
Matt Koopman 0408 582 422 (Leopold)
Legendary Skindiving Equipment 9387 8491 (Brunswick)
SFD competitions
SFD club meetings

The plan is to post a leaderboard on this forum at the start of each month. Any queries regarding this years Vic Challenge, feel free to contact Jordan Hill on 0433 714 855. Comp concludes on June 1. Good luck to all.

So that would make it;

*The ten eligible species and their minimum weights are:
King George Whiting and Silver Trevally-340 grams
Flathead, Sweep, Squid, Australian Salmon, Snook, and Snapper-400 grams
Crayfish (hand captured) - 1000 grams
Kingfish- 3000 grams

Correct?

Attached is the current VC leaderboard. Only a couple of fish submitted to date, no doubt reflects some pretty ordinary weather that we've had.

As already stated the idea is to put an updated leaderboard up at the start of the month (before each meeting). Also, just a reminder that fish must be submitted within 30 days of capture.

cheers
