Nice one, perfect freezer model. I'm looking forward to a big season too, spent the last 12months training my new GWP to find them for me.

saturday arvo, was bored at home so i thort ild go for a walk to waste a few hours till the misses got home, a few mates had told me the area was producing samber again(since black saturday).
took the 4wd to a local spot, not too far from home
started walking from the car went up past a small dam maybe 50m from the car then up a small gully, a little bit of sign around but nothing fresh. so i thort ild cut accross to the next gully, got half way up the rise when i heard a crash in front of me maybe 10metres in front so i stopped. as it was thick bush i stood there for a few seconds when the deer jumped out, on a slow trot away from me, i lifted the gun pulled the trigger but nothing.... looked down & saw ohh whoops 2 stage safety. the animal stoped maybe 50m away and stood there not sure where i was, i could still see its front right shoulder so i raised the gun lined it up thru the sights and squeezed the trigger... the animal instantly rolled over! in excitement i ran over to it to see its last breath  it was down!
allthough not a big beast it was what i went to look for. i dragged it back to the car which was only about 200m away 8)
and took the 10min drive home alot faster!

there u go one story haha
