Hi Thommo first welcome to Southern Freedivers.
Secondly, if you know you like the sport, and are keen to spent the cash , definitely do a course now, the knowledge and experience is very beneficial for you safety and your enjoyment of the sport.
Cheers Stephen

I'd definitely wait till you have a few dives under your belt so you have a better understanding of the course and can relate!

hey Thommo, welcome to the forums.
to ensure a safe dive while ur learning allways have a dive buddy. after youve done a few dives ull learn alot
and want to learn more. after that it would be a better time to do a course. there are a few courses that run every now and then
Walter steyn does a course and u could also get some information on other courses from some of the guys from legendary.
