Hi Guys
I went out fishing from Werribee to a spot we visited a few weeks ago and had another awesome days fishing, we caught 1 x 2.5kg snapper, 1 x pinky 34cm, 12 x bearded red cod, 1 x barracuda, at least 50 Flathead, and another 20 or so undersized pinky's and Flathead. We came back with only a fraction of what we caught but that's a lot of fish for 5hrs on the water, (3 of us in the boat)
Looking at the sounder there is no structure on the bottom and when I pulled the anchor in it was like a gray clay bottom really stiff and sticky.
I'm cannot freedive to that depth, but I do scuba, if anyone is interested in a dive to see what the attraction is down there let me know.

I would assume there would be a structure of some description around the area, as i believe the rock cod are usually found in reef systems & rocky habitats.
