Yes it should C dog.
First problem is getting Southern Freedivers recognised as a club. I pissed me off at sign on that we all had to be independents.
It would have been great if we as a club had our own pre weigh in to check species and weights. ( It would have prevented one dickhead trying to weigh the wrong species- No names please !)
Also great if we could all stay in the one area. It might add a bit to the social side.

Yep agree, I felt like Rob Oakshot, you looked like Tony Windsor and well I'm not sure who resembles Bob Katter?? Independents aren’t really the flavour of the current political term as are Victorians desired entrants to NSW events, like my crude theory? I just love diving Eden, brings back a lot of great memories of the area from when I lived close by. Be a great thing if AUF sorted out their issues with USFA? Regarding all staying in one area... after you have done a few Eden comps, you won’t be saying that... most of the crew that go, go again and again and you end up meeting alot of them, hence social circle expands and it is very hard to socialise in one place... the zoo can’t come to you!!

Surely Southern Freedivers have dived in this comp as Southern Freedivers before. It cant be that hard to add it as one of the options in a computer program.I entered at least 2 weeks before and they must have known more than 1 or 2 were coming.I cannot believe its the whole USFA V's AUF thing.
Maybe a big bonfire and a bbq on the beach would have been better ? ( bit hard to do presentations ) .
I suppose its easy to be critical as usual its probably the same few who do all the work.

If you look at the usfa site on eden and look at last years results we are down as southern freedivers. They only presented medals to some of us then renegged on them last year and this year they didn't even recognise us shit whats going to happen next year  Think we might have to get a plan for next year as Andrew stated.

At the prezzo there was enough comotion when some muppet on our table grabbed a dive knife instead of a speargun or fins (dive r's i think)

As s first time Eden comp diver, there were a few lessons learned, all part of experience. However, it would help if we knew which unlisted spieces cannot be weighed in.... Clause 12c of USFA Rules for example, which spieces have been removed from the list? buggered if I know...

At Eden, never take your eyes off the weighin line, you could end up at the back of it, even though you your catch was placed in the weighin circle, okay rectangular looking circle, in the mid section of the line.

Hard to get volunteers to help with any organised event, credit to those who did do something. Hope there are some lessons learned by the organisers for future comps.

Thanks P Diddy & Margy for the Team Torrelli milk bottle holder, Klara uses hers every night!

Hey Guys and gals,

Has there been any discussion yet (which I may have missed) on going to this comp in 2012?
