Hi Surfcoast, thanks for that link.

Just spent a bit of time checking their forum out. Seems they're also talking about GWS' as well.
Why they even have their very own "Ash" over there. Thought it might actually have been "our Ash" but "their Ash" (AKA King Venom) hails from Albany.

The boys from WA appear to be refreshingly enlightened when it comes to whites.... usually the case when one has regular contact, eg WA spearos', abalone divers etc.
Easy to be brave and noble when realistically most of us will not see one in our lifetime.
I've only been waiting 41 years and have dived far more often, for far longer and in far hairier locations and situations than most.

I'm King Venom mate. Was Saint when I started with that forum but I bought a Aimrite K.V best gun ever pushed it hard someone said change your name to K.V so I did lol.

We dove last squid season at the same time and the same area that the whites around Queenscliff were trawling, no contact though, luckily or unluckily. Why do you want to stir up shit Lou, why don't you just let it go? Can you?

I don't think you can, but maybe you can prove me wrong.

I have been told that when a shark does take someone in WA the local fisherman do there own secret hunt to rid the whites of the area. Know a cray fisherman that gets pissed off because they smash all the pots tying to get the crays out, they qite frequently spot sharks during there day to day activities. Was also told by someone that when thay rid a big gws from an area numerous smaller ones move in to the area all challenging for it. Also the smaller ones are supose to be the worst for the attacks as they are going through there maturing stage where they are just angry at the world. Jaws was based on what they believe to have been a young gws

Yer one guy decided to do it fisheries were waiting up the hill and through the book at him good and proper end of the day. More boat + more surfers + more divers + more swimmers = more shark sightings.

Apology accepted. I do respect your views Lou, I know you have a lot of experience and advice, but it just seems that so much of what you say is negative. Tell us some the good experiences you've had, I would thoroughly enjoy reading about the good times!
