First comp for the season is coming up next weekend and as people know its a boat comp, for anyone looking for a ride DONT leave it till sunday to look for one. Put something on here and im sure you will get a ride. You dont have to go on a boat though, shore dive is allowed, you leave from the boat ramp and meet back there at the end of the 6 hours. HOPEFULLY the forcast doesnt change cause it looks like being a cracker of a day touch wood. So everyone should be at the ramp by 8, even earlier would be better cause the ramp will be packed if its a nice day.

Hi Guys,

Plan to do my first comp on Sunday at Sorrento as a new member. Have no boat. Not fussed if I get a ride or not, prob go with what ever is suggested or offered. Have to say I am a touch anxious. Interested to see how good you fella's are (obviously some very) and what techniques and tips I can pick up to help my diving. Roughly where will the comp grounds be? no need to be to specific. Just thinking about what to bring over from the premiership town. Be good to get involved. Cheers.

Im sure you will get a ride Blacky. This boat comp you can go where ever you like, outside the heads,in the bay. Last year boys drove down to Cape Shank and the back beaches, Chris nilly won on a shore dive. Koonya and Sorrento are good spots for the shore dive, close to the start point so your not wasting much time driving.

Hey guys just wondering if any one can give me a lift from the city to the comp and back to the city. If I can jump on a boat I will but if I can't doesn't matter.

If there is a spare spot going on a boat I'd gladly take it, otherwise it will be a shore dive for me. Looking forward to it either way. Weather looks good.

I will doing the sign on for this comp. Please bring the correct funds ( $10) and be early rather than last minute. Do not forget that if you have a ride in boat be realistic about the amount for fuel and other boat costs. Sort this out with the owner .
Long range weather at this stage looks good.
Do we have many with boat rides available ?
Watto and myself on Ski .

Why not just have the comp on Saturday, makes sense if the weather is going to be better than Sunday.

Others work Sundays.

We should have a vote this meeting prior to the comp.

Most sports require you to keep a day free every weekend, surely we can keep one weekend a month free. How nice would it be to occasionally have the Sunday to recover before work too!

I reckon it's ridiculous that we don't have both days to choose from!
