Hi Guys
I have a bit of footage from Eden this year. As you know the weather was crap, rain and high winds, visibility was not so good and it was definitely warmer in the water than out of the water but still we found a few pockets of fish. Got a couple of nice shots and had a ball with Nuts and Cdog. Met quite a few other SFD members too, bunch of great blokes and Ladies!!

Any way a bit of HD video in the Garden of Eden.

cheers Lee

Some pretty sweet footage there. What did you film it with?

Damn, why is it that every bit of footage I really like is done with a camera that's outside a price range I can justify?

Been down that road, cheap cameras home made housings..............just not worth the hassle considering all the effort involved in actually filming while spearing, getting home to find the video was crap and youd be better off just shooting the fish and leaving the camera at home  . If you get a good camera that films on mini dv tapes, and you can get good ones a whole lot cheaper than the HDR FX7 with the cmos technology and a second hand housing you could film some good stuff. I just bit the bullet and bought a housing for my good camera and this was the first go at using it, pretty happy with the results considering I don't really know what settings and exposures work best in certain conditions, so hopefully it will get better with a bit of trial an error.

Wow Lee, that's great. I usually avoid you tube videos cause there so crappy. Shows how good Eden is even when conditions are ordinary. Thanks, I think that's the first you tube I have watched to the end!

Hi James, You can try Haycock Point or Leonard Is on the north side of Eden or south on Green cape there are several places; Saltwater creek, Bitangabee bay, Pulpit rock or City rock.

Mimosa rocks south of Bermi is alot closer to Narooma and is not a bad dive there is also some good ground south of Tathra.

You will get fish behind the golf course at Narooma or at Glass House rocks a bit further south. I've had a couple of good dives at Mystery Bay as well.
