good luck finding a property in Victoria for shooting goats. you can shoot rabbits and foxes with no dramas, and if you have a deer permit u can hunt for deer in the appropriate areas.

375 is over kill for sambar deer which is what you will mostly find in victoria, minimum rifle to take sambar is .270, thou you will need to go to the dse to obtain a permit.

DSE is pretty strict with permits to hunt the feral elephant population

Bring that 375H&H up here, should be able to roll a few buffs without getting chased up too many trees... As for Sambar, a well placed .270 will suffice.

I have seen a samba shot high shoulder with a 280 rem and just run off never to be seen again.
I would strongly recommend any of the .30 cals.
I use a 300win mag for anything bigger than a small
Goat and .204-.17-22lr for anything less.

I'm looking around for a new shotgun and a 416rigby
If anyone knows of one?

There will be nothing left of a samba with a rigby, and my mate said paddy you need to be able to shoot 300 rounds a hour if you wanna shoot camels with us.
