This comp will run at YCW on Phillip Island on Sunday.Next to Smiths beach.( Piramid rock is the backup) Please be at the Island Tourist Information car park at 7.45am . We will leave for YCW at 7.50. See me for Sign on. Please bring the correct money ($10)and your whistle/mirror to sign on.Sign on will finish at 8.30 followed by briefing at 8.50 with comp start at 9.00 for a 3.00 finish.

Its going to be not so good for the proposed boat comp so it will be held over to some better weather.
Should be a great dive. Andrew

After been questioned on the decision to hold this comp i decided to show people WHY they have no clue! as you can see on this swell chart sunday is showing 6seconds between swell. What does this mean you ask??????? well in short its wind slop, no swell at all....... Hence why YCW or at worst Pyramid have been chosen as comp sites. Pyramid will be dead flat, YCW will be fine to! If the swell was saying 12-15 seconds then it would be a right off... So if you want to listen to clowns that wouldnt have a clue stay at home , if your keen to dive then i garinty it will be very dive able...

And yet another VERY diveable Saturday is ignored and wasted.
Saturday was the 26th of November.
Saturday was my daughter Ashleighs' birthday.
Anyone who has been in this club more than 5 minutes knows what this meens.
It is always ocean diveable on Ashleigh's birthday.

My only defence is that the wind was never WSW, more like dead southerly....... i give up im retiring

No one is blaming you. Your advice was flawed. I was convenor for several years and it is a thankless task. The weather moves in mysterious ways. Also mysterious is the continued aversion to picking the best day on a given weekend. ( particularly after the success of the previous comp.) I have heard all the arguments from both sides of the fence and regardless of who may or may not be affected, my belief is that the majority should rule. My 2c. ( and my opinion only)
