Hi guys
I will be over in Melbourne for 3 months, living in Essendon and will be keen for a spear.
If anyone has a spare seat on boat for trips I would be happy to pay my own way/split costs etc.
I will be over between early March to early June.
Whats it like at that time of year? more than happy ton shore dive for crays etc, do you guys use a loop or by hand only? do I need fishing liceance?
Cheers
Paul

Essendon is a nice area and only one suburb over from where I keep my boat so you might get lucky( but not in an IH/ Marmo kind of way)
You will need a fishing license and when you get it they will give you a booklet with all the rules.

Gday Paul. Yeah Drew is a SFD member but he is living in WA at the moment.

Southern Bluefin will be on that time of year and it is great fun if you can get yourself on a boat or charter.

I dint know Drew was over here!
I havnt spoken to him in years, was keen to catch up so I will have to track him down
Bluefin will be no 1 target, mmm might need to review my setup. I am guessing size are 30kg so 1.3 carbon gun with floatrope, bunggie should do it with 20 - 30lt float.
Thanks again.

Yeah Drew is trying to get some work in the mines.

Set up sounds good for the tuna. Few guys will be using the bluewater canons this year to try and shoot a big bastard (100kg+) but most fish are 15-25kg. PM me when you are in Vic and will put you in touch with a few divers.
