8 days left; what's the current Vic Challenge Leaderboard looking like "VictorianChallenge"?

'Heard something on the radio today about the government wanting to prevent betting being made on horse races, footy matches etc while they're actually being run/played/etc, and the TAB and bookies were complaining that there's not much point in it as while the government can prevent the local bookies from doing so, they can't prevent the overseas-based bookies from taking bets right up to the finishing line/final siren/etc.

'Wonder if someone's running a book on the VC? Whaddaya reckon the odds would be?

Hmm... even though Octopussy was #1 in the last spreadsheet, he's weighed out in all species, meanwhile Murray & Brett are lurking only a few places down with a number of species still left unfilled (perhaps quietly stashed away in the fridge to be weighed in at the last moment, leaving the rest of the mob with no time left in which to land something bigger and take the lead back again?).

B.I. 3-2?

etc..
etc.

Whoops, my bad -> 13 days left (including today)!

Apologies to all; had last years VC finishing date of midnight June 1 in my head when I wrote the preceding post and was calculating the days remaining to weigh in species.

You know, it's almost a shame "VictorianChallenge" corrected my little boo-boo so quickly; it might have startled any "sandbaggers" out there into weighing in any specimens they've got tucked away in fridges on June 1, only to find out that the rest of the competition still have 5 days left in which to track down fish and regain the lead.

Can you imagine the outcry if that had happened?

Better still, can you imagine how hard people'd be charging in the last few days to try and take out the title? It'd be great to watch!! What a tussle!

'Might even knock Craig Thompson off the front page.
