Just completed the free dive course (level 1) over the weekend out of queenscliff. Learnt so much and noticed such a massive difference in my depths/dive times. Would reccomend it to everyone! Well worth the 400 bucks!

Was this the course you did? http://www.apneaaustralia.com.au/freediving/freediving-courses/stage-a

I've been thinking of booking into the the Stage A that's on this Friday.

well worth doing a course, i did one last year or so with a few of the guys on here with Walter Steyn, and before the course i was at around 8m and after it i did 15 with bottom time, now doing 20...

Walter also holds 6 of 8 australian records

at the time i did the course Jody Fisher also did it and has gone on to break a few aus womens records

My static breath old was increased from just over 1 minute to 2:05. But my depths was where the real improvement was, previously i couldn't go deeper(didn't feel comfortable) than about 4-5 meters. On the last dive of the course i was picking up multiple scallops in 13 meters off rye.

Cant really explain how much you learn as far as breathing techniqes, stretching, blackouts, saftey etc...

Well, well worth the 400.
