Turn out would have been better but there was a social trip on also. If the weather gods had played the game and the comp was the previous week as planned I am sure numbers would be up. This could not be helped.

Got amongst it on Sunday,

I arrived at the Schanck to be greeted by grey sky and rain. I was feeling pessimistic about the trip and my choice to partake in the comp, however an optimistic approach and support from the more experienced crew soon curbed my enthusiasm and I was keen to get in the water.

Turned out to be a great day, caught a number of species for the first time (in the pic), learnt a lot from the other divers and had a very positive experience all round.

Thanks to all the organisers and all the crew that helped out, much appreciated.
