Potentially one of our best comps. There have been reports of 20m + vis in the area this year.
Day 1 Saturday is day 1 of the Western Districts championships as well as counts toward the Club Championship. Day 2 Sunday is day to of the Western Districts only. Monday is a spare day if conditions are not favourable Sat or Sun.
Will post more info soon.

I've booked the family into Southcombe Caravan Park from Friday to Monday if anyone else is thinking of doing the same. Couldn't leave the misses and kids at home on their own for Australia day. Looking forward to it.

There seems to be plenty of camping spots left but they are filling up fast.

Most people stay at the Southcombe Caravan Park.
Comp locations are decided on the morning according to conditions.
Everyone meets at the entrance of Southcombe Caravan Park at 8am Saturday morning.
Keep your fingers crossed that the run of fine conditions they have been enjoying continues.

Thanks for the info Paul.

Hey guys just a heads up. Spent 2hrs trying to get some sort of cabin/self contained unit for 2 people. Finally found something that only had 1 room left, $340 for two nights. (sat/sun nite due to cricket on sat, dive sun & mon)

Rang heaps of places, visitor centre & jumped on lastminute site. If your looking for similar accomodation you might need to try killarney or warrnambool.

Next time i'll know to book earlier.

Anyway im there for my first comp, cant wait.

Geoff

Thanks Paul for the extra info. Looks like I wont make it so hope you all have a great weekend.
If people need memberships etc try and get them done before next months meeting so whoever is doing sign on does not have to worry on the day.
Dont forget to have your entry forms filled out prior to sigh on. Usual fees $10 each day .

Just been in for a quick one. Water was very clear and plenty of fish about. Took a nice snapper and whiting.dropped a big salmon off the pranger would have given 3kg a nudge :(

Must have been a tail shot ?
How are you finding the pranger ? I have done the threaded piece for you just remember to ask (Its in my glovebox).
Best of luck everyone , I hope conditions are great.
I will be sunning myself on the beach at Rosebud for my wife's birthday.

Yeah hit it just a touch low. Still getting used to the range. Put the snapper asleep though.
