To inexperienced Vico's going to compete have a very close look at this score sheet. Its built for further up the NSW coast so there are some anomalies that you need to take advantage of.
An example is the Purple Wrasse (Black Parrot). They are A scale because they are considered rare in NSW but they are not in Eden.
A Purple Wrasse can be worth two other fish. eg 650 gr Purple Wrasse = 52 points whereas a 900gr Bonito (27 points) + 600 gr Sea Sweep (24 points) = 51 points.
Moral of the story is not to stuff around trying to get special fish until you have the easy high scores in the bag.

Great weekend, I even saw kings when I was resting on the surface. I was looking down so when I saw them it was already too late.
I was not expecting kings in this time of year.

Leigh got a 15kg King and Cutters got a 14kg King a couple of days before the comp. Leigh's was on purpose but Cutter's was an accident. He had just shot a Mowie when he got schooled so he calmly reloaded his gun leaving the fish on the end of the spear and shot through at the first available.
