Thankfully the 'off season' hump has well and truly passed! 1st SFD comp for the 2013/14 season - BLOWHOLE, Sunday Sept 15th. Exact location and day to be announced, usually somewhere within the Flinders - Cape Schanck area. All club competitions are nominated for Sunday however the Saturday may be used due to weather conditions. The dive convenor will post the decision on the Thursday prior on the 'Competitions' thread on the forum. All members and new comers welcome. Once again keep an eye on the 'Competitions' thread on the forum for the time, location or any changes from the dive convenor 'the brown mullet'.

In typical AV fashion I will miss this one. I will be in Coffs Harbour servicing a mates rally car during the WRC Event.
With any luck weather will be crap and its put off a week. (Not wishing to moz the comp).

Comp is call ON for this Sunday, conditions are looking pretty good at this stage. Meet at 8 o'clock at the end of the BlowHole track, can someone post some direction to here for those that don't no the location. If any one is running late and we are NOT at the blowholes we will be at Cape Shank(cant see this happening but you never no). Please bring your own entry forms and $10 entry fee. BBQ and drinks will be provided. Remember you MUST have - float,flag,whistle,mirror,dive knife,AUF membership number. If you don't have these you will not be diving the comp!

I've been interested in this place as a dive site for ages but sadly, I have to work. Good luck to all who end up competing.

Great day. Top turn out. Good to see quite a few newbies and Dave, Sam & girlfriends making the long trip over from SA.

Conditons were great. Everyone shot fish.

Thanks to the organisers and everyone that helped out to make this day a very enjoyable one.

Thanks as well to Leigh, Alex, Paul and Marcus that came at the end and helped with weigh in/presentation.
