So, after a few weeks down the peninsula without the missus, she goes and books a romantic weekend down Port Fairy for the long weekend. Low and behold, there's a comp on. Was going for a lazy ponds dive and maybe snare a whiting or a cray with the lovely one and then some wining and dining. Now it looks like I'll be swimming around like crazy and then getting hammered at The Stump Hotel! Sounds bloody terrific. Hopefully see a few faces down there.

Wondering if any one has spare place for accommodation.

Dont care if its even on the floor (have inflatable single mattress) or if someone staying at a campsite has spare room for a sml dome tent or know of any spare accommodation/camp sites.
Happy to cut costs wont be in your way i'll be in the water or at the stump just need a space to sleep. Dont snore but do talk about fish in my sleep.

Spoke to Peter Riddle. Water is clear and fishy.
Turn up 8am Sat morning at the entrance to the South Combe Caravan Park a per usual. The Convenor will assess the conditions and make a call.

I have just heard that the comp has been called for Sunday and Monday. Our club aggregate scores are usually taken from the first day however I cannot see any reason why either day could be chosen. I am happy for those going down to make the call on which day as long as everyone knows and the decision is made before the Sunday start. Can someone please collect scores for our club aggregate. Thanks.

Which day is our club aggregate day. Scs have chosen Monday for theirs. I can't do Sunday but if our aggregate day is Monday I'll head over Sunday night and do the Monday.

Not fazed on the day, monday looks better weather/swell wise. Prob have a mind hangover by then though.

I take it SCS entryform (from Face book) is all that is required for both days as they are the hosts. Our entry form and indemnity not required even though points are allocated for our aggregate for one day? Cheers

Prefer Monday. Saves me rushing after cricket which finishes at 6pm Sat and sleeping in my car after the stump.

It gives me the option of coming down sun.
