Had a fantastic time at the comp on Sunday, with great people and good weather.
Thanks to participants for showing me the ropes.
I look forward to attending more events in the future.

See bellow for photos from the day.

Nice meeting you Aaron. Hope you enjoyed your first comp.

As for the competition side of it yes at first it may seem daunting. But don't feel under pressure as every comp has divers of all levels of experience from beginners all the way to experienced veterans. Completely up to you how serious you want to take it. We have plenty of social divers that attend comps throughout the year and there is no pressure to weigh your catch in.

What I can say is that you will meet a great bunch of guys/gals, dive new locations and improve/learn along the the way and have some fun. :P

Geoff & Carly

Thanks for the pics.

Thanks for getting the scores up Watto even though you are in QLD.
Must agree with Geoff [quoteWhat I can say is that you will meet a great bunch of guys/gals, dive new locations and improve/learn along the the way and have some fun.][/quote]
I really enjoyed Sundays dive. A great way to finish off the comp year. Plenty of helpers on the day made it easy.
Enjoyed taking Aaron out at the start of the comp with the words
Quote:
nothing too serious
only to end up a fair way offshore and in for the full 6 hours.Sorry I left you behind. I was sucked in again by the comp spirit. Be great so see you at future dives.
Anyway had a ball again. Thanks all.

Just a big thanks to Watto & his mates for helping me bring my gear back & up the cliff at Airy's comp. 65 years old with only one lung sorted me out a bit !! Just a bit. Really great to meet all you young guys.Just shows that true mate-ship that extends in the diving fraternity. Thanks also to my old mate Bob Manning for giving me a ride down to the comp. even if he did drag me out in the water the day before under sufferance. The sausages afterwards was a great innovation, certainly better than the old days !
Again, thanks Watto

Anytime Danny, were all there to help each other out.
You put in 110% and did extremely well for the conditions.

That's quite a few species taken in just the one area. Well done to all who competed and helped out throughout the day. Any more pictures by anyone? Glad you had good weather for it.

Hey Micheal,
Not sure if anyone took any pics. Normally P.Diddy or Cdog take pics but they weren't there.
I think Wattos got pics of his Cray's but he's in Qld.
Carly got me to take this one pic of her with her first Short fin pike(snook) 1.1kg

Thanks for a great day fellas. Not a bad way to finish off the season. The sausages were gourmet compared to the last comp, good job Nigz!
