Comp season starts in a month and a half. Time to get the gear out and give it the once over. Dont forget to upgrade that faded dive flag,redo the reflective tape on the float, sharpen the knife, polish that mirror and blow the whistle. Freshen up on the comp rules , safety requirements and species list.
Rules will be applied strictly this year. If your gear is not right you wont be comp diving.
Save the organisers the difficult task of telling you your not diving. Please get it right.

Why is salt water so far away and the weather so crappy at this time of the year ?

Great reminder Andrew. I must get onto that reflective tape for my float. I don't have it yet. Hopefully I can get to a few of the comps this year. They are very good events where over the last two seasons I've met new people, dived new locales and generally just had a top day out, even though I have not been able to get to all of the comps.
