This is a shore comp with plenty of area to dive from both rocks and sand. Area stays relatively shallow for a large distance from shore. Max of 8 to 10m usually 6 to 8m .

If anyone is heading to the comp and is anywhere near Black Rock and can provide me with a lift that would be greatly appreciated. The lack of hours driving I've done means i don't have my license to drive. Here is my resume consisting of reasons a car trip with me would be worth your while.

1. I will sleep in the car on the way to the comp.
2. I will buy Beer or Coffee or Petrol or Post comp lunch.
3. I will sleep in the car on the way home from the comp.
4. I will bring snacks.

All offers accepted and appreciated.

Sorry Everyone this comp has been postponed until Sunday 29th. Conditions will just not play ball for us.

The convenor has looked at the forecasts and made the decision early. Enjoy the weekend and with any luck catch you the following weekend.
We still have the Woolami Anchored boat comp to fit in as well.

Original post from Andrew V

Looks like the comp at Aireys is in doubt due to conditions. We will leave making a final call until Friday. We will get something up as soon as we can. At this stage Aireys is probably out so we are looking at Kennett river as an option.

Once again, the weather has caused us to postpone this event. Stay tuned for a new date.

Sunday will be a 2-3 foot swell with the wind from the north west. Sounds OK to me. I'll be getting wet down the west coast this weekend.

As always when assessing conditions we do ask divers that do live out that way. I would be cautious to rely on weather sites at this present moment especially when swell further west is considerably larger.

We still have plenty of time to run the 2 comps that have not run. Aireys Inlet and Woolami anchored boat. We intend to get both run. Sorry about Sunday but even though some sites predict one set of conditions the local knowledge and what is happening further away suggest otherwise.
