The 2022 Bluefin Battle has been called ON for Saturday 19th February (this Saturday).

We will meet at the new Portland boat ramp 8am, as per the map below. it is the one closest to the Lee break wall on the left.

The competition will commence at 9am and finish at 2pm.

This will also allow enough time for people to drive back to Melbourne if needed.

Registration forms and payment must be submitted via email by 5pm tomorrow (Friday 16th).

If you haven't already done so, you will need to sign up to the AUF and you can select "Southern Freedivers" as the club.
Select the 6 month option, as all memberships expire at the end of June.

Please ensure you have read the info pack for all the details.

Look forward to seeing you all there!

The 2022 bluefin battle was a success!
We had 4 groups groups sign in spread out over 3 boats.
Kim and Blake found the tuna very early on and had them all to themselves for the majority of the day bagging out. Pete and Bobs boats showed up later and had a crack with 3 tuna being landed.
The dirty water made seeing the fish very difficult underwater. Most of the time they were already passing.
Peter and Mac took out the day with a 14kg and 12kg fish both shot by Peter. The 14kg also took out heaviest fish.
Kim and Blake weighed in a 12kg and 13kg fish.
Everyone had a great day out in the water and it was nice to see some new faces!
