Just got off the phone from Murry. He's at the pyramid rock and the conditions are safe for tomorrows competion, with low swell and good viz. So the comp has been called on!

Everyone is to meet at the phillip island information centre as per usual at 8am. Comp will most likely be held at Pyramid Rock. Please try not to be too late so we can start at 9am.

Dont forget all safety gear; mirror, whistle, float, flag and knife.

To find the info center head over the bridge just keep following that road right along, you will eventually see the large question mark an a big parking spot in a some bush area.

For everyone that stayed in bed today YOU MISSED OUT BIG TIME!

Comp was held at pyramid rock today with near perfect conditions. Very little swell on the protected side of pyramid rock, and clear top to bottom viz in 10-15m. Plenty of fish to be had with a number of snook, trevally, whiting, black drummer and the usual suspects being caught. Despite conditions, the turn out was very disappointing with only 8 people signing on.

Results:
Leigh Elliott, 13 Species, 100% :P
Murray Peterson, 11 Species, 82%
Chris Monaghan, 10 Species, 78.24 %
Paul Dorfstatter, 9 Species, 65.10%
Joseph Bednarak, 7 Species, 52.77%
Trent Crane, 7 Species, 51.99%
Christian Hughes, 7 Species, 50.29%
Paul Crane, 4 Species, 28.03%

Don't forget novice competition is scheduled for next weekend (26th)! This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get into comp diving or people wanting to show their friends and family what it's all about. Novice divers with be paired up with an experienced diver for this competition. Watch the forum for more details later in the week!

So Jono, no you're not a novice. It's more targeted at people who have never dived a competition.

If anyone who has done a comp and couldn't find a fish shouldv'e dived the comp last Sunday fish where plentiful. Best comp conditions I've dived this year also best result I've had. Might have had a better result but ended up breaking shooting line lesson learn't will carry spare dyneema shooting line in float next time.
