Mate, generally there are 3 types of fin construction, there are also kevlar and other types, but I won't get into that.
1. plastic These are the cheapest type and you get what you pay for, my first real freedive fins were Picasso blackteams, they have a lifetime warranty so you can take comfort knowing they never die.
The next step up is fiberglass, a lot of the time when u buy these fins, you may just purchase the blades and have to buy the pockets separately and sometimes a kit to attach them.
Many people are loving the Aussie made DiveR blades, and from what I hear, if ur a medium sort of swimmer/size bloke.. medium works. You could go on forever about technical details, but do a little research ask other divers, try a couple pairs if you can!
3rd are carbon fiber blades.. again generally more expensive but are lighter and meant to provide even better performance.
